Taking a deep breath of
fresh morning air, or a leisurely evening stroll, is something most
of us take for granted. But for sufferers of chronic lung
disease, those simple pleasures are not possible.
In recognizing the
debilitating effects of chronic obstructive lung disease--asthma,
emphysema, chronic bronchitis and others--the Pulmonary Rehab team
has one goal in mind--to assist patients to improve the quality of
their lives through improved breathing.
To help control
shortness of breath, participants learn breathing techniques to make
day to day living easier. |
