Kay
Wing, RD, LD, CDE is the Diabetes Education Director and Clinical
Dietitian at the Shenandoah Medical Center. She has 5 years of
experience in diabetes self-management training both here and at the
Community Hospital in Fairfax and completed the requirements for
obtaining Certified Diabetic Educator credentials. She has 30 years of
experience in the dietetics field; at hospitals, nursing homes and in
the community. She has been an instructor in the Dietary Managers’
training program through Iowa Western Community College for 20 years.
She has also participated in the implementation of grant programs, most
recently, the BODY (Building Our Dynamic Youth) program to improve
eating and exercise behaviors in young children. She is looking
forward to continuing her involvement in the community’s health through
the programs at the Wellness Center!
