The Radiology department at the Shenandoah Memorial Hospital is committed to providing the latest in technology to the community we serve.  In the Summer of 2003, SMC installed a Phillips Multi-Slice 'top of the line' CT Scanner.  This scanner is the fastest and most technologically advanced unit in Southwest Iowa.  It is the only unit in this region to have a 4-D image reconstruction.  Images can be acquired in .5 seconds at .5 millimeter cuts.  This is the most accurate imaging available today.  Exams are immediately sent to the Nebraska Medical Center with emergent results in less then 15 minutes.
